Baskets for Organizing

If you’re looking for a way to declutter your home and get organized, baskets are the perfect solution. They’re inexpensive, come in various sizes and colors, and can be used to store just about anything.

When choosing baskets for organizing, pick one that will fit your needs and space. With a little creativity, you can use baskets to organize just about any area in your home.

Woven Plastic Baskets

Durable baskets are essential, especially when using them to organize your medications and first aid items.

Small baskets work great in skinny cabinets allowing you to streamline the different types of medications you and your family use more efficiently.

Plastic Baskets

Plastic baskets are a great way to organize the home as well. They are the cheapest way to organize your home and can be found inexpensively at most department stores. They come in many sizes, shapes, and colors. You can use them to store anything from toothpaste to toothbrushes to floss.

Cloth Baskets

Cloth baskets are great for organizing toys and hiding the toy clutter. They are usually made from a sturdy fabric such as canvas or denim and can store just about anything. Cloth baskets are often lined with a waterproof material, making them great for storing wet or damp items. They are also usually cheaper than wicker baskets.

Wicker Baskets

Are wicker baskets good for storage? Wicker baskets are great for organizing your home. They are made from interwoven strands of organic material, usually rattan, willow, or seagrass.

Upcycled Plastic Baskets

Plastic baskets are usually the most affordable items for organizing your home; however, they do tend to break easily. Often times, the instant reaction is to toss them, but with a little DIY, these baskets can be made to look new and modern.

One way to upcycle is to use fabric. Covering the basket with fabric gives it a fresh new look and can be used to store items such as face clothes or tea towels.

DIY Rope Box Basket

Purchasing many baskets can add up and become costly. Leftover boxes that will end up in the recycling bin can be turned into stylish and functional storage solutions. Rope baskets are usually made from cardboard boxes and give a home a modern look.

All that is needed is some rope and some hot glue. Wrap the rope around the box, adding glue as it is wrapped. All that is needed is a well-loved old sweater and some glue. Wrap the box with the sweater; now you have a basket that would be great for organizing the linen closet.

There are many ways to make a DIY rope basket. One way mentioned above is to use recycled boxes; however, if the right size box is difficult to find, then a plastic container from Dollar Tree can do the trick.

Different-sized plastic containers can be used to make the perfectly sized rope basket for the area you want to organize. Plus, they’re easy to make, keep clean, and store anything in the home, like throws or toys.

Straw Basket

These woven baskets are perfect for keeping on the stairs. Not only are they great for tossing in items that belong upstairs, but they are also perfect for the clutter that tends to collect on the floors of your hallway or staircase.
